Are you a coffee lover who enjoys making someone's day a little brighter? Bloc is a small, independent coffee shop in the heart of Victoria Park, and we’re on the hunt for a new Barista to join our amazing team.
While we appreciate a good flat white, your attitude is what matters most to us. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and providing top-notch customer service. We can teach you how to pull the perfect shot, but we can't teach passion and a genuine love for people—that's what we need you to bring!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food safety regulations are followed during food preparation and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
