Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching and teaching to inspire young athletes and contribute to their personal and athletic development. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced coaches and those looking to gain valuable coaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Teach fundamental football techniques, tactics, and game strategies
- Motivate players to achieve their personal best while emphasising sportsmanship and teamwork
- Organise friendly matches, tournaments, and practice games to enhance player development
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions and matches
- Maintain equipment, organise training schedules, and manage team logistics
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of the sport
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly football, is highly desirable
- Proven ability to teach sports skills effectively across different age groups
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players
- Knowledge of current football coaching techniques, rules, and safety standards
- Experience working with youth or community teams is advantageous but not essential
- A recognised coaching qualification or relevant sports teaching certification is preferred but not mandatory
