Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, engaging companionship and light mental stimulation through conversation and activities.
- Assist with essential day-to-day activities such as grocery shopping, running local errands, and handling weekly appointments.
- Offer helpful prompts, including light medication reminders and schedule tracking.
- Please Note: This role involves strictly non-personal care (no assistance with bathing, dressing, or medical tasks is required).
What You’ll Need to Apply (Essential):
- The Right Attitude: Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and a friendly, respectful demeanor.
- Reliable Transport: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle to assist clients with transport and errands.
- Background Check: A clean, enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to undergo one immediately).
- Tax Status: Registered (or willing to register) as self-employed with HMRC.
Highly Regarded Qualifications (Desirable):
- Previous professional experience in elderly care, companionship, or support work.
- Valid First Aid at Work certification.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
