Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled 360 excavator operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty 360-degree excavators to perform a variety of earthmoving tasks essential for project success. Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators with precision to perform digging, lifting, trenching, and material handling tasks across diverse construction sites
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute excavation tasks accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and maintain smooth workflow
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational logs
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following site safety guidelines
- Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs to minimize downtime
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery, including routine maintenance procedures
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, site plans, and safety instructions clearly
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of heavy equipment operation and site mobility
- Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing project needs
