Join a European Leader in Precision Manufacturing
Looking for a CNC Machinist role where your skills are valued, your development is supported, and your workplace is world-class? Join us at IWT’s state-of-the-art facility in Corwen, where over £50 million has been invested in cutting-edge manufacturing technology. We are proud to be at the forefront of trailer manufacturing across Europe — and we’re only getting stronger.
What You’ll Do
As a CNC Machinist, you’ll operate and set up high-precision HAAS and EMAG dual turret CNC machining centres as part of a high-volume, high-quality production process. Working to tolerances on par with aerospace standards — often within microns — you’ll play a vital role in delivering excellence on every shift.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Setting and running CNC machining programs (Siemens and Fanuc control and G-code-based)
- Tooling changes, part changeovers, and routine machine checks
- Performing part inspections using CMMs and other precision measuring tools
- Adjusting programs based on measurement data and SPC interpretation
- Overseeing supplemental equipment such as flaw detectors, engraving systems, and hydraulic presses
- Supporting a safe, clean, and continuously improving workplace
- Carrying out effective shift handovers and escalating technical issues as needed
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking skilled, reliable, and quality-focused CNC Machinists who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have:
- Proven CNC setting and operating experience (Siemens and Fanuc preferred but not essential)
- Confidence working to micron-level tolerances
- Ability to read engineering drawings and perform precision measurements
- Experience with CMMs and SPC systems (advantageous)
- A self-motivated attitude, excellent problem-solving ability, and a keen eye for continuous improvement
- Good IT skills and willingness to learn new CNC systems quickly
What’s in It for You?
- Competitive salary
- Comprehensive training and development (external and Internal)
- Clear progression opportunities to roles such as Cell Leader or Production Support Engineers
- 24 days annual leave including Bank Holidays and a Christmas shutdown
- Company pension scheme
