Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment on-site at client locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for hands-on work. The position involves travelling to different sites, providing on-the-spot repairs and maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diverse machinery and equipment at various client sites.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Perform complex repairs including welding, equipment overhaul, and component replacement.
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as required.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and recommendations.
- Assist in training clients' staff on basic maintenance procedures when necessary.
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical principles.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Sound mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in various environments.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple jobs across different locations effectively.

Pay: £26,110.12-£53,199.43 per year
