Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee and food, organised, and eager to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
The role is required to provide support on shorter shifts with the ability to cover full shifts where required. There will be opportunity to increase hours over time.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or via takeaway services
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations
- Uphold food safety standards and adhere to hygiene regulations at all times
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with additional tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service; additional training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling snacks or light meals
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise duties during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
