Catering Manager – The Haggis Box
The Haggis Box serves Scottish food with real provenance from our café at the Scottish Storytelling Centre on the Royal Mile, and we cater for corporate and private events across Edinburgh, including from our catering trailer. We're growing the events side of the business, and this role grows with it.
This is a varied, hands-on job with no two weeks quite the same. You'll run our event catering bookings, support the café team, and help deliver catering on site.
What you'll do
- Handle corporate and private event enquiries from first contact through to the event itself
- Liaise with customers, understand what they need, and keep them informed
- Prepare and send quotes
- Order ingredients and manage stock for events
- Prepare and cook catering for bookings
- Set up and prepare the catering trailer, and work on it during events
- Work café shifts at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, supporting the Café Manager and team
- Help grow the corporate and event side of the business
What you'll bring
- Experience in hospitality
- Some administration experience (handling enquiries, quotes and orders; using Excel or similar)
- A full UK driving licence
- Good organisation and an eye for detail
- A genuine enjoyment of working with customers and as part of a team
- Comfort switching between tasks

Pay: £24,420.00 per year
