Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Freelance Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) specialising in Business Management and Diploma in Education and Training. This role involves evaluating learners' competence, ensuring assessment standards are maintained, and supporting the delivery of high-quality training programmes. Duties
- Conduct assessments of learners' work against specified qualification criteria in Business Management and Education & Training
- Provide constructive feedback to support learners' development and achievement
- Maintain accurate and detailed assessment records in accordance with awarding body requirements
- Plan, organise, and deliver internal quality assurance activities to monitor assessment processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies for assessment and quality assurance
- Support trainers and assessors through guidance on assessment practices and standardisation activities
- Participate in standardisation meetings to ensure consistency across assessments
- Keep up-to-date with developments in vocational education, assessment practices, and relevant industry standards
Skills
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple assessments and quality assurance activities effectively
- Experience in teaching or training within Business Management or Education & Training sectors
- Knowledge of IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Practical understanding of plumbing or related trades is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage confidently with learners, trainers, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of professionalism
