Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistant (zero hour contract) to join our team. This role offers flexible hours and is ideal for individuals with a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for guests and visitors, ensuring all areas are kept pristine and organised. Previous experience in hotel or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Change bed linens, replenish amenities, and ensure rooms meet cleanliness standards
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, corridors, and communal areas
- Assist with laundry duties as required
- Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the wider housekeeping team during busy periods or special events
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial roles is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards guest service
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
