Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Perform maintenance tasks including welding, mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and component replacements
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated processes effectively
- Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance activities, ensuring safety standards are met
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work completed, parts used, and system updates for accountability and future reference
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations staff or management to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Proven experience with maintenance tasks involving mechanical systems, electrical components, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of PLCs and automation systems
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team collaboration
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while performing maintenance activities
