Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills and demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively with both patients and team members. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice while providing exceptional support to our dental professionals.
Monday - Friday role
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide high-quality patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have before, during, and after treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Organise and sterilise dental instruments and equipment to adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the practice.
- Utilise IT systems for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
Experience
- Previous customer service experience is helpful but not essential.
- Previous dental nursing experience is appreciated but not essential.
- Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- A caring attitude towards patient welfare combined with a professional approach to work.
- Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
