Barista Role Full-Time (30 Hours)
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, customer-focused environment, preparing quality coffee and food while delivering excellent service. Previous experience is is essential.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, assisting at the deli counter, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Hours & Shift Pattern
- 30 hours per week.
- Early starts from 7:00 am.
- Shift patterns vary and include some weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks.
- Serve customers from the deli counter.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately and operate the till, handling cash transactions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all work areas.
- Ensure all food safety standards and procedures are followed at all times.
- Restock supplies and rotate stock to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise customer wait times.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety and food handling best practices.
- Strong customer service and serving skills.
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and till operation.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns.
