WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – FULL TIME
We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our growing warehouse and logistics team.
This role is vital to the smooth running of our operations, ensuring products are picked, packed, stored, and dispatched accurately, safely, and on time. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who can also work independently, with a positive “can-do” attitude and a commitment to high standards.
Due to the location of our site, own transport is strongly advised.
A good level of spoken and written English is required to meet Health & Safety and operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick, pack, store, and load company products to ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in full
- Accurately pick and prepare boxes of products for dispatch
- Pack, label, and wrap pallets ready for delivery
- Load and unload vehicles and containers safely and efficiently
- Operate handheld scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) devices
- Accurately use intended softwares and 3rd party courier portals to book consignment deliveries.
- Carry out inventory checks, stock counting, and location accuracy
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe working areas at all times
- Support other warehouse team members to ensure smooth and safe daily operations
- Provide cover for other shifts when required (e.g. sickness or training)
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations
- Assist with general warehouse duties including waste disposal and housekeeping
MECHANICAL HANDLING & EQUIPMENT
- Operate mechanical handling equipment including:
- Counterbalance (essential)
- Reach Truck (essential)
- Pallet Truck
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Valid and current Counterbalance licence
- Valid and current Reach Truck licence
- Proven experience operating a Reach Truck in a warehouse environment
- Proven experience operating a Ride On Forklift in a warehouse environment
- Experience heavy handling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised
- Ability to read and understand English instructions
- Numerate and comfortable working with quantities and measurements
- Confident using warehouse IT equipment and scanners
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with Counterbalance, PPT, or LLOP equipment
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience
- Experience with palletising, picking, dispatching, and stock control

ROLE DETAILS
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: £27,500+ per year (dependent on experience)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – Day Shift (8:00am to 5:00pm)
