Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Brunch Chef to join our vibrant team in Kings Heath. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of brunch dishes, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising junior staff and managing food production processes
- Lead the team in food preparation, ensuring efficient workflow during busy service periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service and accommodate special dietary requirements
- Monitor food costs and minimise waste through effective portion control and utilisation strategies
- Assist in menu development by introducing new brunch offerings and seasonal specials
Skills
- Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality or restaurant settings, with a focus on brunch cuisine
- Strong supervisory and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
