Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to specified recipes and standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Support serving staff during meal service times as needed
- Assist with catering events by setting up and clearing serving areas
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
