What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups during literacy, numeracy and topic lessons.
- Helping children develop confidence and make progress in the classroom.
- Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organisation.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day.
- Recording pupil progress and sharing observations with the class teacher and SENDCo where appropriate.
- Supervising pupils during break and lunchtime, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching or similar setting.
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- A good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
