About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our busy and welcoming golf club. Catering for members, visitors, weddings, private functions and social events, this is an exciting opportunity for a creative chef to make a real impact.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, maintaining exceptional food quality, leading and developing the kitchen team, and creating seasonal menus that enhance the club’s dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Design and deliver fresh, seasonal menus for the clubhouse, functions and special events.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Manage food costs, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Plan and deliver catering for golf days, weddings, celebrations and corporate events.
- Recruit, train and motivate the kitchen team.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and health & safety legislation.
- Work closely with the General Manager to develop and grow the club’s food offering.
About You
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Creative with menu planning and a passion for high-quality food.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and food margins.
- Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during service hours
