Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team in Brighouse for 6 months, if this position works, we will look to make this a permanent role working 15 hours a week over 2 days . The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a passion for charity customer service.
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and contributing to the overall success of our store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries.
- Maintain an organised and visually appealing merchandise display to attract customers.
- Handle transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling and till operations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Will need to be able carry stock and donations up and down 2 flights of stairs.
- Confident and able to work alone at times and or with volunteers.
- Working hours will be between Monday - Sunday and you will need to be flexible.
Experience
- Previous experience in charity retail or sales is mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
