Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee our shop in Lymington and at times Highcliffe . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that the shop meets its sales targets while providing a welcoming environment for customers. A bubbly outgoing and enthusiastic person is essential.
Duties
- Lead and manage a team of shop staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
- Oversee daily shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement effective sales management techniques to drive revenue growth.
- Maintain organisational standards for cleanliness and presentation within the shop.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll management, and reporting.
- Utilise strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders effectively.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to ensure product availability.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in multilingual or bilingual capabilities being advantageous.
- Experience in merchandising and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional time management abilities.
