Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Class 1 Tramper to join our transportation team. As a Class 1 Tramper, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles, primarily flatbed trucks, across various routes to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Duties
- Operate Class 1 commercial trucks with a focus on flatbed transportation, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and road laws.
- Drive long distances across different locations, managing delivery schedules efficiently and ensuring timely arrivals.
- Secure loads properly on flatbed trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Follow all company policies related to driving hours, rest periods, and load securement procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on flatbed transportation.
- Strong driving skills with a valid Class 1 license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safe load securement techniques for flatbed cargo.
- Ability to operate large vehicles confidently over long distances in various weather conditions.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Familiarity with delivery driver best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
