Job Overview
Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety will be essential to delivering high-quality homemade traditional meals for elderly clientele . You will be required to prep, cook three meals a day and be able to bake and daily, You will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and storage areas in compliance with SFBB guidelines
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain hygiene and cleanliness
- Meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Follow health regulations and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or accidents
- Be willing to complete in-house mandatory training.
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or cooking within a residential care setting.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience in meal preparation, including chopping, mixing, baking, or grilling
- Ability to work efficiently as a lone worker in a relaxed environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous serving experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: £12.71-£13.40 per hour
