Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Co-ordinator to champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. In this vital role, you will enforce health and safety policies, conduct thorough risk assessments and monitor workplace conditions.
Responsibilities
· Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
· Regularly inspect construction sites and farms to ensure safety measures are in place and risk assessments/method statements are adhered too
· Assess risk on spontaneous site activities and issue specific method statements.
· Ensure weekly/monthly inspections are completed and filed accordingly.
· Issue permits for temporary works, excavations, hot works etc.
· Incident response and reporting including near misses, identifying root causes and implements corrective actions.
· Build a strong rapport with site teams and act as a trusted advisor, influencing positive safety culture with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours.
Experience
· NEBOSH Qualification necessary.
· CISRS Scaffold inspection training advantageous.
· Temporary Works training advantageous.
· Previous experience within the construction industry
