Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse for a flooring installation company. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating material deliveries and returns, maintaining warehouse organisation, and ensuring flooring materials, tools, and equipment are available for installation crews on schedule. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing flooring materials and installation supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or spreadsheets.
- Coordinate the preparation and staging of materials for upcoming installation projects.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect materials for damage or shortages.
- Organise and maintain warehouse storage to maximise efficiency and minimise material damage.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to job sites and pickups from suppliers.
- Ensure installation crews receive the correct materials, tools, and equipment before departing for job sites.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and work with purchasing to replenish inventory.
- Maintain forklifts, warehouse equipment, and company tools.
- Enforce workplace safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and secure.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, sales staff, and installation supervisors to support project schedules.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in flooring, construction, building materials, or a related industry.
- Experience cutting carpet/vinyl to a cutting plan.
- Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of flooring products, adhesives, installation materials, and construction practices is preferred.
Pay: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
