Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings including residential and commercial, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Ideally will hold a driving licence. Company van can be provided.
Duties
- Installation of roofing systems such as flat roofing, pitched tiled roofs, metal sheeting, lead etc, according to specifications.
- Repair and replace damaged roofing systems to ensure structural integrity.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with roofs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of roofing work.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed during the installation and repair processes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in roofing techniques and materials.
- Experience with construction practices is essential.
- Familiarity with lead welding techniques is advantageous.
- Strong skills in fabrication and carpentry are preferred.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems can be beneficial for integrated projects.
