What you’ll be doing
The Commercial Revenue Assurance Manager will provide support to the business in the control, visibility and optimisation of revenue generated through motor claims activity. In conjunction with the finance team the role will focus on protecting and improving income across credit hire, credit repair, salvage, storage, recovery and related commercial streams, ensuring revenue is accurately identified, evidenced, billed, recovered and reported.
The postholder will act as the commercial control check point between claims operations, finance, legal and senior stakeholders. There could be further interactions with external stakeholders; for example repair networks, recovery partners and salvage providers where necessary. They will be accountable for identifying leakage, strengthening recoverability, improving billing confidence, resolving commercial disputes and providing clear insight that supports sustainable margin performance and growth.
The role will also be responsible for the AX/Motor Assist (MA) interface, ensuring opportunities identified within AX are recognised, assessed and transferred to MA where appropriate, particularly operational fault work and other activity that creates a commercial opportunity. You will be required to attend the Fort Dunlop office for a minimum of two days per week.
Key responsibilities
Revenue assurance and leakage control

support the end-to-end assurance of claims-related revenue streams, ensuring income opportunities are identified, validated and pursued effectively

identify revenue leakage across credit repair, salvage, storage, recovery and supplier activity, using data, audits and operational review
-
strengthen controls around charge creation, evidence capture, invoice accuracy, recoverability and aged debt management
-
work with Finance and Operations to ensure revenue is recognised accurately and consistently against agreed commercial rules
-
provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility of revenue performance, risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
Credit repair revenue
-
oversee revenue controls linked to credit repair activity, ensuring repair charges are supported by appropriate evidence and commercial justification
-
monitor credit repair income, disputed charges, recovery rates and insurer challenge trends
-
work with claims, repair and finance teams to improve billing completeness, accuracy and timeliness
-
support commercial decision-making on repair authorisation, evidence standards, recoverability and dispute strategy
-
highlight opportunities to increase compliant credit repair income while maintaining fair customer outcomes and strong insurer relationships.
Salvage, storage and recovery income
-
support the Head of Continuous Improvement in measuring the commercial success of salvage, storage and recovery activity
-
provide clear data insights on income, costs, performance trends and opportunities for improvement across these areas
-
work alongside the Head of Continuous Improvement and operational teams to identify where changes can improve commercial outcomes
-
help implement agreed improvements and track whether they deliver the expected commercial benefits.
AX/Motor Assist interface ownership
-
support the operational and commercial interface between AX and MA, ensuring opportunities identified in AX are reviewed and transferred to MA where appropriate
-
identify AX activity that represents a MA opportunity, including fault work identified within operations that should be progressed through MA
-
work with Operations to define clear identification, referral and handover processes, ensuring commercially valuable opportunities are not missed
-
monitor the flow of opportunities from AX to MA, work with the Business Analysis Manager on reporting on volumes, conversion, leakage and barriers to transfer
-
act as the escalation point for interface issues, ensuring operational ownership, commercial accountability and clear resolution routes.
Commercial controls and dispute resolution
-
act as a key commercial contact for revenue-related issue resolution, insurer challenges and supplier performance matters
-
develop clear working practices for evidence quality, audit readiness, escalation routes and commercial decision-making
-
partner with legal, compliance and finance teams to ensure recoverability decisions are well-evidenced and commercially sound
-
build strong relationships across all internal teams.
Financial governance, compliance and risk
-
ensure revenue activity supports fair customer outcomes, regulatory obligations, contractual requirements and internal governance standards
-
maintain controls for high-value and high-risk activity, including storage escalation, repair evidence, recovery pursuit and invoice support
-
support audits, quality assurance activity and commercial reviews by assisting in the provision of control assessments
-
identify emerging risks, including claims leakage, revenue misstatement, weak evidence, billing disputes and reputational exposure
-
recommend corrective actions and monitor delivery through to completion.
Management information and commercial insight
-
work with the MI team to define and maintain meaningful MI across revenue performance, leakage, billing confidence and recoverability
-
track KPIs such as credit repair income, salvage conversion, storage days, recovery success rate, aged debt, dispute volumes, invoice accuracy and revenue leakage
-
produce insight for senior stakeholders, highlighting root causes, financial impact and recommended actions
-
lead targeted commercial improvement initiatives that increase recoverable income, reduce avoidable losses and improve margin visibility
-
benchmark revenue assurance activity against comparable motor claims, repair, salvage, recoveries and supplier management roles.

What you’ll bring
Essential
-
strong understanding of UK motor claims revenue streams, including credit repair, salvage, storage, recoveries or repair-related income
-
experience working in insurance, accident management, claims management, motor recoveries or a closely related operational environment
-
experience in managing cross-functional handover processes or interface activity between operational platforms, claims teams or commercial business units
-
experience working for an insurer in claims management, with a clear understanding of the protocol process and how it impacts claims handling, recoverability and commercial outcomes
-
ability to interpret commercial agreements and recoverability requirements
-
strong analytical capability, with experience using MI to identify trends, leakage, risks and improvement opportunities
-
excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging insurers, suppliers, operational teams and senior leaders
-
strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce commercial reports, evidence summaries and senior stakeholder updates
-
commercial awareness and ability to balance customer outcomes, insurer relationships, compliance and revenue performance
-
high attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple revenue streams and commercial priorities simultaneously.
Desirable
-
understanding of ABI GTA, insurer intervention models, third-party capture, subrogated recoveries or motor claims litigation principles
-
experience managing supplier networks
-
experience improving commercial controls, revenue assurance activity, billing quality or recovery performance.
