Salary: £29,918.58 per annum
Days (rotating): £33,487.74 per annum — Monday to Friday, alternating weekly: Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm (0600–1400), Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (1400–2200)
Are you an Assembly Operator looking for a stable, long-term role with a supportive team? RSD Recruitment is working to recruit a motivated Assembly Operator to join their Production team, building hydraulic pumps and motors.
You'll be at the heart of production, assembling precision hydraulic units to a consistently high standard while working closely with the wider manufacturing team. It's a great opportunity to build your career with a well-established manufacturer and earn a competitive salary.
What you'll do
- Assemble hydraulic pumps and/or motors in line with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure all products meet the Company's quality and health & safety specifications
- Test hydraulic units to customer-specific specifications (full training provided)
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
- Achieve hourly production targets and work to KPIs
- Adhere to production controls and daily engineering and quality checks
- Report breakdowns or machine abnormalities to supervision and maintenance, logging them on the main database
- Maintain strong 5S standards in your area and look for continuous improvement opportunities
- Show flexibility to support production where needed
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar assembly role
- Ability to work to set production targets
- Able to follow written instructions and complete paperwork promptly
- Flexible, adaptable, and a genuine team player
- Basic problem-solving ability
- Willing to work overtime when required
Desirable:
- Industrial paint spraying experience
- Forklift licence
- Ability to use and read measuring equipment
