Yards Person Required!
RecruitEasy are looking for an experienced Yards Person to work for our client based in Truro, Cornwall.
Duration: Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: immediate
Pay Rate: £14.25 Per Hour - paid weekly!
Pay rate depending on experience and/or tickets.
**We do not use umbrella companies to process your pay!**
Job Roles:
- Loading and off-loading lorries using a forklift truck and overhead cranes
- Safely moving stock around the yard
- Maintaining accurate stock levels
- Issuing and receiving stock for incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Ensuring all new stock is stored in the correct locations
- Carrying out weekly stock takes
- Completing paperwork in line with CARES, ISO, and Health & Safety requirements
- Assisting customers visiting the site and providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the yard
- Supporting the Production Manager with additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Licence - Essential
- Previous experience in a Yard Person, Yard Operative, Labouring, or similar role preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to Health & Safety
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Own PPE Required
