We are entering an exciting new chapter at The Round Hill Pub and we are looking for a passionate, creative and driven Plant-Based Head Chef to lead our kitchen.
The Round Hill is a neighbourhood pub with a fully plant-based kitchen, built around fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and proper cooking from scratch.
We are looking for someone who doesn’t just want a job, but wants to be part of building something special.
The role:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen Create exciting plant-based dishes and work alongside the owners and management team on menu development Cook confidently from fresh ingredients with strong kitchen knowledge Manage ordering, stock control, prep, cleaning standards and kitchen organisation Maintain consistency, quality and high food standards Be confident working independently during quieter periods as well as leading a team during busy services Help grow and develop the kitchen as the business continues to evolve
About you:
- Experienced chef with strong cooking ability Passionate about plant-based food (plant-based experience preferred but creativity and passion are essential) Organised, reliable and able to take ownership Comfortable running a small but busy kitchen Able to manage your own time, prep and service Positive attitude and willing to work closely with the wider team Someone who takes pride in their food and the kitchen they run
Our kitchen is currently going through an exciting development phase with improvements and upgrades taking place, so we need someone flexible, hands-on and happy to work with us as the space grows.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who wants creative input, freedom and the chance to put their stamp on an established Brighton plant-based pub.
