Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to a high standard. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
MOT tester would be an advantage but not essential.
Monday - Friday working week
Pay negotiable based on experience
Duties
- Repair and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, and tyre replacements
- Assemble parts and components accurately following technical specification.
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts used.
- Assist with the assembly of new equipment or vehicles as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance routines
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
