Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service
- Supervise and support waiting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously, maintaining excellent customer relations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks when required, supporting culinary staff to uphold food safety standards
- Manage reservations, organise table allocations, and handle guest enquiries professionally
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly to maintain guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production and presentation standards
- Support team management by motivating staff, organising shifts, and fostering a positive working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to serve guests professionally and courteously
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff supervision
- Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Knowledge of barista techniques or bar service is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or large-scale hospitality environments is desirable
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example
