About the role
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Night Porter to join our team. Working overnight, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the property — ensuring our event and meeting spaces are always ready for use, our public areas are clean and welcoming, and that guests and staff feel safe throughout the night. This is a varied, hands-on role that sits at the heart of our nights team.
Key responsibilities
Meeting & event set-ups and clear-downs
Setting up and clearing down meeting rooms and event spaces in line with function sheets and company standards, ensuring rooms are correctly laid out, equipped, and ready ahead of schedule.
Cleaning & presentation of all areas
Maintaining cleanliness throughout meeting and event spaces, as well as public areas including corridors, lobbies, and restrooms to a consistently high standard throughout the shift.
Safety & security support
Assisting the nights management team with all safety and security responsibilities, including monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any incidents or requests.
Compliance with company policies
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and training programmes, including health & safety, fire safety, manual handling, and any role-specific training requirements.
What we're looking for
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working through the night
- Strong attention to detail with a pride in presentation and cleanliness
- Ability to multitask and perfom at a high level whilst working to a busy schedule
- A physical, hands-on work ethic — this role involves lifting, moving furniture, and being on your feet throughout the shift
- A calm, professional manner with good communication skills
- Previous experience in a hotel, events, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
