Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Bank Care Assistant to join our team within a caring environment. This role offers flexible shifts to support our care home and home care services, providing essential assistance to residents and clients. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and maintaining professional standards at all times. Prior experience in care settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Provide personalised care and support to residents or clients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support residents with medication reminders and health monitoring as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Assist with organising activities and social engagement to promote wellbeing
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures
- Support the team during shift changes by providing comprehensive handovers
Requirements
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits but not essential for all positions
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care services is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: From £12.85 per hour
