We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results in both residential and commercial settings. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines diligently.
- Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades and consistency.
- Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting tasks.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and touch up as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is preferred.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between sites.
- Proficiency in English with good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working at heights if required.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work commitments.
