Warwickshire Cricket Foundation is seeking two passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, you will help shape our strategic direction, strengthen our governance and ensure we continue to inspire more people to experience the benefits of cricket.
About Warwickshire Cricket Foundation
Warwickshire Cricket Foundation is a charity that uses the power of cricket to engage and inspire people across Warwickshire, helping people have positive experiences and build a lifelong connection with the game. Following significant growth over the past two years, we are looking to appoint two new Trustees to help drive our continued development and increase our impact across Warwickshire.
Responsibilities:
Trustees are primarily responsible for embedding good governance, providing coherent leadership and ensuring a clear strategic direction for the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation (WCF) in line with our aims and objectives.
In performing their duties, Trustees are required to act with integrity, lead by example, deploy their experience and expertise, comply with the Warwickshire Cricket Code of Conduct and promote an inclusive, values led culture.
As a Trustee, you will:

Constructively challenge and contribute to the development of strategy, providing advice and expertise on relevant issues including resources and standards of conduct

Actively participate in Board discussions and support management outside Board meetings, where required

Work with, and support, the Board Chair to ensure a high standard of governance

In collaboration with the rest of the trustees, scrutinise the performance of management in meeting agreed goals and objectives

Support the delivery of ECB's game-wide Inspiring Generations strategy

As part of the Board, set objectives to improving the Foundation and the Board's performance

Maintain and promote an inclusive and diverse environment throughout the organisation, considering all aspects of diversity including protected characteristics and backgrounds

Recognise and understand the need for diversity and the requirements of the wider communities that we serve

Recognise and understand the need for highest standards in safeguarding and risk management
Location: Edgbaston Stadium, Edgbaston Road, Birmingham, B5 7QU plus some off-site commitments throughout Warwickshire and Birmingham.
Remuneration: This is a voluntary, unpaid appointment
Time commitment: The Board meets approximately four times per year in person, with sub-groups meeting approximately four times per year. We anticipate an overall time commitment of around one day per month, including meeting preparation, attendance and occasional additional engagements as required.
Term of appointment: Three years but with potential to be extended by agreement

Knowledge of the Warwickshire cricket clubs and the recreational game
