Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday 7:00am-2:00pm or Part-time 2 or 3 days Monday-Friday 7:00am-2:00pm
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
Chat Coffee House is a busy and friendly cafe. We care about fresh food, great coffee and happy customers. We need a flexible team player to work across our kitchen and front-of-house areas.
Our location is exceptionally easy to commute to via public transport:
By train: We are located directly beside the City Hospital Train Station, making it perfect for anyone travelling on the local rail network.
By bus: Multiple major Translink Metro bus routes (including the 9A, 9B and 9C Lisburn Road services) stop directly outside the hospital gates.
What You Will Do
As a Kitchen Assistant:
- Bake off and prepare hot food items, including sausage rolls and chicken goujons.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure the hot food unit is always well-stocked.
- Operate commercial ovens and kitchen equipment safely.
- Check food temperatures and record logs to meet food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen workstation.
As a Barista:
- Make espresso drinks and hot beverages to a high standard.
- Take customer orders with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Keep the coffee station clean, stocked and tidy.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience as a barista and in a food-service or deli kitchen.
- A friendly, polite and approachable attitude.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- High reliability and punctuality (especially for early morning shifts).
- Over 18 years.
