Job Summary and key responsibilities
To manage the client finances on a portfolio of businesses, completing key monthly and annual processes, hitting block KPIs and delivering block financial information to Property Managers and Block Directors when requested.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily allocation of leaseholder/supplier payments via the block management system.
Inputting budgets into the system and issuing service charge and ground rent invoices.
Monthly bank reconciliations
Preparing and reviewing on boarding and off boarding accounts
Resolving account problems, queries and transactions received from clients
Attending meetings online / in person at the office with clients.
Accounts vs Budget monthly reviews and ability to explain variances to clients and Property Managers
Year end and budgeting reporting requirements for individual locations
Liaise with external accountants for the preparation of Service Charge Accounts
System housekeeping
Release of payments from the bank for contractors
Answering daily calls to assist with supplier and client queries
What are we looking for:
Good written and oral communication skills
Able to plan and prioritise
Excellent IT skills - Experience of Microsoft suite of products, Word, Excel etc.
Attention to detail
Managing a team
Able to communicate at all levels
Experience of using Property Management accounts systems, ideally MRI Qube and/or Resident
Knowledge of conveyancing
Service charge accounting experience
Block Management finance experience
Knowledge of property market and associated services
Knowledge of ARMA compliance rules
Team leadership
Experience of busy month end routines
Experience of working in a sales orientated industry
Experience of divisional or departmental accounts
Actively studying/Qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA
