Facilities Operative (Self-Employed Contractor)
Location: CH41, Birkenhead
Pay: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week, 3 visits per week. Monday- Wednesday- Friday
Contract Type: Self-Employed Subcontractor
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the communal bin store remains clean, safe and well organised.
The role involves attending the site 3 times each week to maintain the bin store and surrounding area to a high standard.
As the bin store is located outdoors, applicants must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Duties
- Maintain the communal bin store in a clean and tidy condition.
- Pick up any rubbish left on the floor and dispose of it correctly.
- Ensure all waste is placed into the appropriate bins.
- Sweep and clean the bin store and surrounding area as required.
- Present bins for scheduled collections.
- Return bins to their designated location following collection.
- Report damaged bins, fly tipping or any health and safety concerns.
- Maintain a professional standard at all times.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work independently.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.
- Good attention to detail.
- Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, waste management or facilities management is desirable but not essential.
Contract Information
This position is offered on a self-employed contractor basis.
- £15.00 per hour.
- Flexible working arrangement.
- Work offered as required.
- Contractors are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.
- You are free to undertake work for other clients and companies.
