Enerco Doors & Loading Bay Solutions Ltd is a specialist provider of industrial doors, loading bay equipment, repairs, servicing and maintenance throughout the UK.
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Administrator to support our operational teams by managing purchasing administration, inventory control and supplier coordination using Protean.
This is a key role within the business, ensuring engineers, workshop personnel and operational teams have the materials, stock visibility and supplier support required to deliver installations, maintenance works, repairs and emergency callouts.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing Administration
- Raise and issue purchase orders through Protean.
- Process approved purchasing requirements for repair parts, workshop consumables, stock replenishment, fabrication materials, tooling and fleet consumables.
- Obtain and record supplier acknowledgements.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and supplier delivery dates.
- Manage supplier order tracking, returns and credit administration.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding acknowledgements, shortages, lead times and delivery updates.
Inventory Control & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse stock locations within Protean.
- Process stock receipts, stock issues and inventory movements.
- Monitor warehouse, engineer vehicle and regional stock holdings.
- Conduct cycle counts and support annual stock takes.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies and inventory variances.
- Monitor minimum stock levels, reorder points, supplier lead times and minimum order quantities (MOQs).
- Produce inventory, stock replenishment and reorder reports.
- Identify stock shortages, slow-moving stock and inventory risks.
- Support stock valuation, audit and inventory control activities.
Customs & Import Administration
- Support customs and import administration.
- Monitor import delivery progress and maintain associated records.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and delivery providers.
- Escalate delays affecting operational delivery.
Office Out-of-Hours Telephone Support
- Participate in the office out-of-hours rota (approximately 5 weeks per year).
- Receive emergency breakdown calls and record details within Protean.
- Follow the agreed call-out procedure and escalate to the on-call engineer where required.
- Provide a handover of outstanding activity to the office team on the next working day.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Inventory control or stock management experience.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using purchasing or inventory management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience using Protean or other ERP/SAP system
- Experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing or field service environments.
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control systems.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical or industrial equipment components.

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
