MULTI-SKILLED LABOURER / DRIVER
Haydock – Working Across the North West
£14.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience

Higher End Construction is a growing construction and maintenance contractor delivering planned works, disabled adaptations, property refurbishments and general building projects across the North West.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Multi-Skilled Labourer to support our tradespeople and help keep our projects running safely and efficiently.
This is a varied role for someone who is practical, flexible and willing to help wherever needed across the business.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Isolating water supplies to bathrooms when trained and competent
- Removing bathroom suites, sanitaryware, tiles, flooring and fittings
- Stripping out properties ready for refurbishment
- Stripping wallpaper and preparing walls and surfaces
- Setting up, moving and dismantling mobile scaffold towers when trained and authorised
- Collecting materials from suppliers and delivering them to sites
- Loading and unloading tools, materials and waste
- Supporting plumbers, joiners, plasterers and other trades
- Protecting customers’ homes before work begins
- Keeping occupied and empty properties clean, tidy and safe
- Removing waste and completing end-of-day site cleans
- Keeping the company van clean, organised and properly stocked
- Following site instructions and health and safety procedures
- Helping with all reasonable tasks required across the business
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful applicant must have:
- Previous construction, property strip-out or labouring experience
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Confidence driving a company van and delivering materials
- Experience stripping out bathrooms or residential properties
- Good practical ability and confidence using hand and power tools
- A strong work ethic and willingness to turn their hand to different tasks
- Excellent reliability and timekeeping
- A professional and respectful manner when working in customers’ homes
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to keeping every site clean, organised and safe
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
- CSCS card
- PASMA mobile scaffold tower training
- Asbestos awareness
- Manual handling training
- Experience working in social housing or occupied properties
Training can be provided for the right person.
