At One YMCA, we know that ending homelessness and rough sleeping requires more than simply providing a bed. Through our award-winning Dynamic Pathway to Independence model, we deliver person-centred support that empowers individuals to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve sustainable independence.
We are looking for passionate and motivated Supported Housing Officers to join our Housing & Communities team across our Peartree Campus, Hatfield Hostel and HMO services, helping support vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

This role will support our services across Peartree Campus (2 positions), Hatfield Hostel (2 positions), and our HMO service (1 position), working with residents to help them overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve greater independence.
Working closely with residents, you will develop and deliver tailored support plans, helping them achieve goals relating to housing, health and wellbeing, education, employment, training, and independent living.
You will also work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to ensure residents receive the support they need to progress successfully.

You will have:
- Experience working with vulnerable people or those at risk of homelessness.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational and IT skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and person-centred support.

One YMCA and its subsidiaries, the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. We are over half way through an exciting new strategy launched in the first hour of the new decade, via email where all staff and volunteers were invited to put themselves forward to apply and attend an intensive, three-day Kickstarter Event.
By the end of these three days, there was a brilliantly multi-faceted set of themes and ideas, which formed the starting point for the rest of the Mission 25 process to build on. The aim of Mission 25 is to give every staff member and volunteer the opportunity to play their part in shaping the strategy to do “more and better, together” so that we double our impact by 2025. We deliver a vast array of services across Herts, Beds and Bucks that reach over 135,000 individuals annually.
