Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our team supporting children and young people in the Chester area.
You will provide person-centred care and support according to each individual's needs and care plan. This may include supporting children with complex care needs, learning disabilities and autism.
Previous experience is welcomed but not essential, as appropriate training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and supporting daily living needs
- Supporting children and young people with complex care needs
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Following individual care and support plans
- Supporting with mobility where required
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures
- Reporting any concerns or changes in an individual's wellbeing appropriately
- Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update patient records regularly.
Requirements
- A caring, patient and compassionate approach
- Good communication skills,with the ability to listen attentively and convey information clearly.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake required training
- Commitment to safeguarding children and young people
- Must already have the Right to Work in the UK
- Successful applicants will be required to complete the appropriate Enhanced DBS check
