Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
As our Asset & Compliance Officer, you will will play a key operational role in, maintaining accurate estate, curriculum asset and statutory compliance information across the College. The postholder will ensure that assets are safely recorded, compliance evidence is complete and accessible, and inspection, servicing and remedial action records are actively monitored throughout the asset lifecycle.
The post holder will maintain comprehensive asset and compliance records, coordinate statutory inspection documentation and provide high-quality asset information to support operational delivery, financial planning, audit readiness and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities of our Asset & Compliance Officer:
- Maintain and continually develop the College's central asset register for estates services and curriculum equipment.
- Record new assets, disposals and asset transfers, ensuring complete lifecycle records are maintained.
- Carry out routine asset verification and condition inspections across the estate.
- Track actions identified through inspections, servicing and audits, ensuring completion evidence is obtained and records are updated.
- Maintain an accurate compliance evidence base covering relevant statutory inspection and servicing regimes, including fire safety, asbestos, legionella/water hygiene, gas, electrical testing, lifts and lifting equipment, emergency lighting and other estate-related compliance disciplines.
- Coordinate the receipt, review and filing of statutory inspection reports and certification.
- Maintain remedial action trackers, follow up internal owners and contractors, verify completion evidence and escalate overdue, incomplete or high-risk actions.
- Maintain an accurate register of curriculum assets and specialist teaching equipment.
- Maintain the College's CAFM, compliance and asset management systems as accurate and reliable sources of asset and compliance information.
- Support the mobilisation and close-out of capital projects by ensuring asset information is captured accurately.
What we’re looking for in our Asset & Compliance Officer:
- Experience within Estates, Facilities Management, Property, compliance administration or asset management.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within commercial or educational buildings, with the ability to maintain supporting evidence and escalate gaps.
- Experience using CAFM, compliance, asset management or similar operational systems.
- Experience maintaining databases and records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to communicate confidently, follow up actions and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
