About IDR Law
IDR Law Ltd is a PE-backed specialist contentious probate boutique. We handle complex, high-value disputes involving wills, estates, and inheritance claims, acting for individuals, trustees, and professional clients across England and Wales.
We are growing our legal team and in this next year, we are targeting new lawyer hires alongside investment in the people infrastructure that will support a firm of our size. The Talent Partner is a newly created role that sits at the heart of that ambition.
The Role
This is a hands-on, end-to-end recruitment role for someone who wants genuine ownership. Reporting to the Head of People and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will manage all aspects of our hiring activity across a critical 12-month period while also contributing to the longer-term people brand and attraction strategy.
The role is fixed-term for 12 months. Where business need and performance support it, we expect there to be the possibility of a permanent position.
Key Deliverables
End-to-end recruitment
- Own the full recruitment cycle for all live roles: briefing, attraction, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and pre-boarding.
- Partner with Head of People to agree role briefs, interview formats, and selection criteria before each campaign opens.
- Provide regular status updates to the Head of People and SLT.
- Deliver on targeted recruitment into the legal team in FY27, supported by the firm’s phased hiring plan.
Supplier and agency relationship management
- Manage the firm’s preferred supplier list (PSL), ensuring terms remain commercially sound and performance is tracked against agreed SLAs.
Colleague Referral Programme
- Lead internal communications and campaign activity for the Colleague Referral Bonus Scheme, working with the Head of People to keep colleague engagement high.
- Track referral submissions, coordinate eligibility confirmation, and liaise with payroll on bonus processing.
- Report monthly on referral pipeline contribution and make recommendations for scheme improvements.
Employer brand and attraction
- Support the development and execution of IDR Law’s employer brand strategy, translating our culture, career pathways, and values into compelling candidate-facing content.
- Contribute to careers content across LinkedIn and other relevant channels, using candidate intelligence and interview feedback to sharpen our positioning.
- Work with the Head of People and external partners on targeted direct sourcing campaigns for hard-to-fill roles.

- Clear, professional written communication: able to draft job adverts, internal campaign copy, and candidate correspondence to a high standard.
- Collaborative approach with a practical, can-do mindset suited to a growing, fast-moving firm.
