Premier Performance is a growing, premium equine nutrition and supplement company dedicated to developing high quality, innovative products to support the health, wellbeing and performance of horses.
We manufacture our products in the UK and supply horse owners, professional riders, competition yards, retailers and distributors both within the UK and internationally.
As Premier Performance continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and personable Customer Service & Administration Coordinator to become an important part of our team.
This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in being organised and likes taking responsibility for making sure things get done properly.
The position is office based and combines customer service, order administration, general business support and responsibility for coordinating our trade show and event stock.
The Role
You will be one of the key points of contact for Premier Performance customers and will play an important role in ensuring they receive the high standard of service we expect from our team.
Alongside customer service and administration, you will help coordinate orders and deliveries and take responsibility for the organisation and control of stock used at our trade shows, competitions, exhibitions and other events.
No two days are necessarily the same, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy, growing business and who is prepared to take ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs doing.
Customer Service
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming customer enquiries by telephone, email and social media in a friendly and professional manner.
- Providing accurate information and assistance regarding products, orders and delivery status.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Keeping customers informed regarding their orders and deliveries.
- Responding to customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Investigating problems and taking ownership of them through to resolution.
- Liaising with other members of the Premier Performance team to ensure customer requirements are dealt with efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer communications where required.
- Developing a good working knowledge of the Premier Performance product range so that you can confidently assist customers with general product enquiries.
- Representing the Premier Performance brand and our commitment to exceptional customer service in every interaction.
Order, Courier & General Administration
The role will also include:
- Completing and processing orders through our systems.
- Liaising with couriers regarding collections, deliveries, delays and missing parcels.
- Investigating and resolving delivery issues on behalf of customers.
- Preparing relevant paperwork for UK and international shipments.
- Assisting with customs and export documentation where required.
- Maintaining accurate administrative records.
- Supporting general day to day office administration.
- Communicating effectively with different departments to ensure orders and customer requirements are fulfilled.
- Assisting management and the wider team with additional administrative tasks as required.
Trade Show & Event Stock
Premier Performance attends a number of equestrian shows, competitions, exhibitions and events throughout the year.
An important part of this position will therefore be taking responsibility for the organisation and administration of our trade show and event stock.
This will include:
- Planning stock requirements ahead of upcoming shows and events.
- Ensuring the appropriate products and quantities are allocated and prepared for each event.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock leaving the business for shows and events.
- Recording and reconciling stock returned following each event.
- Reconciling products sold, returned, sampled or used for promotional purposes.
- Checking returned products and ensuring they are correctly returned to available stock where appropriate.
- Monitoring batch numbers and best-before dates where relevant.
- Identifying discrepancies or shortages and communicating these promptly.
- Ensuring trade show stock is organised, clearly recorded and ready for future events.
- Helping coordinate samples, promotional materials, banners, point-of-sale materials and other event requirements where necessary.
- Working with the wider team to ensure everything required for an event is prepared in good time.
This aspect of the role requires someone who is extremely organised and detail focused, as accurate stock records and good preparation are essential.

Experience
Previous experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Customer service
- Office administration
- Order processing
- Stock control
- E-commerce administration
- Courier or logistics administration
- Events or trade show coordination
- Equine or equestrian businesses
Experience within the equine/equestrian industry would be a particular advantage, as you will be communicating with horse owners, riders and other equestrian professionals.
However, we are equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Salary: £26,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience
