Set within a stunning Grade II listed building*, this exceptional venue is currently undergoing an exciting transformation. Between now and opening day, you will play a key role in bringing this vision to life. From helping prepare the venue and supporting its development, to welcoming prospective couples for viewings and showcasing everything the venue has to offer.
This is far more than a typical hospitality or events role. You'll have the unique opportunity to be part of a venue's journey from its earliest stages through to its grand opening, helping to create a truly memorable destination for couples and their guests.
Opportunities like this are exceptionally rare. If you're passionate about weddings, customer service, and being part of something special from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
We seek an individual with outstanding customer service skills, excellent organisation and an eye for perfection to join our successful and thriving working environment where no day is the same.
As a Wedding Event Manager you will guide, advise and support couples throughout their wedding planning journey.
You'll manage your own couples and run their wedding days, from the moment of being assigned your weddings and arranging a planning meeting at least 3 months before the wedding day- you will be responsible for the wedding on the day itself and this will include running the wedding on the day from set up through to seeing the wedding guests and the happy couple off at the end of the night.
You will work closely with the couples' chosen wedding suppliers and our catering partners Jenkinsons, on their big day.
Prior to their wedding day, you will have discussed timings, decorations, suppliers and expectations in your planning meeting and help the couple bring their vision to life on the day itself, whilst creating and maintaining a great working relationship with your couples through their journey with us.
When on shift but not running a wedding, will be responsible for the office work on that day such as answering emails and phone calls to both new and excited couples and those incredibly important couples who have booked their wedding at the venue.
You'll actively contact new sales leads, arrange viewing appointments, liaise with wedding suppliers and prepare for your upcoming weddings.
Where required, you will also support your colleague, the Event Manager running the wedding.
Viewings are conducted at specific times by all Event Managers on all different shift types for both new and existing clients.
Your working hours follow a set pattern which includes weekday and regular weekend working. Your rota is provided 6 months+ in advance, but flexibility is required for sickness and holiday cover.
Although based primarily at your venue, you must be willing to work at a minimum of 2 venues, this includes all shifts such as covering weddings, viewing days, tasters and office shifts.
You will work a minimum of 16 hours a week and a maximum of 48. This is dependent on the number of weddings and viewings scheduled in.
