An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Neuro-rehabilitation Team within the Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit (ARTU). This is a unique opportunity to work in a hyperacute setting with a 10-bed specialised rehabilitation service, funded directly by NHS England, within the UHNM Major Trauma Centre. You will have close support and links with the Advanced Occupational Therapists and will be working as part of a therapy team supported by Physiotherapists and Therapy Technicians.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with complex neurological conditions: including acquired brain injury (including prolonged disorders of consciousness), complex major trauma and spinal cord injury.
You will be part of a large combined therapies team, which can offer a wide range of learning and development opportunities. Supervision will be provided by an Advanced Therapist and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.
