Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
Location: Highbury, N5
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm (39 weeks per year, term time only, 13.75 hours per week)
Pay: £21.00 per hour

About the Role
Calypso is looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our growing Extended Hours Club team. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, is committed to delivering outstanding childcare, and wants to be part of a supportive team.
This is a hands-on role working with children aged 3 to 5 years, creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive after the school day.
You will work closely with the management team to deliver high quality wraparound care while supporting children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
As Calypso continues to grow, this role has the potential to develop into a leadership position for the right candidate.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Experience working in an Early Years or wraparound childcare setting.
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the continued development of the setting.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality care for children aged 3 to 5 years.
- Plan and lead fun, engaging and age appropriate activities.
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
- Complete registers, headcounts and basic daily administration.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies and procedures.
- Support the smooth day to day running of the setting.
