Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up and equipment maintenance
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with suppliers for ingredient replenishment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper storage and handling of food products
- Assist with meal presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing before serving
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques specific to breakfast dishes and meal preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required
- Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude towards guest service is essential
