Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately using schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise fitment.
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Install windows using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper sealing, insulation, and alignment for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, or electricians to coordinate installation processes seamlessly.
- Conduct quality inspections post-installation to verify that windows are secure, level, and functioning correctly.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation.
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or related trades with a focus on window installation preferred.
- Familiarity with using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and measuring tapes.
- Knowledge of power tools including drills, saws, and grinders is highly advantageous.
- Basic understanding of schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings related to building projects.
- Additional skills in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry or construction painting are considered valuable assets.
- Experience working on-site in diverse environments with an emphasis on safety compliance and teamwork.
